ALLEN, TX — October 22, 2026 — In its latest strategy update to industry analysts, Mavenir said that it expects modest top-line growth in its current fiscal year, supported by operator transitions to 5G SA and cloud-native NFs and the fast-growing satellite/NTN market. The bigger story is profitability: EBITDA is set to grow much faster than revenue. That combination points to cost discipline and a mix shift toward higher-value software, rather than volume, as the main driver of improved financial health. The recent recapitalization and improved profitability have allowed the company to focus on three key areas:

The company is leveraging its strong position in IMS with new applications that enable operators to offer: (1) Service assurance, (2) Fraud detection, prevention and security, and (3) AI voice translation. The value in the IMS network is shifting from basic, connectivity-based NFs to enhanced functions and applications that can drive top-line growth.

Mavenir’s NeoCloud initiative aims to turn its BSS and core network expertise, plus an internally used AI platform, into a full stack that operators and other infrastructure owners can use to offer GPU capacity, agent hosting, and token-based AI services. It sees an opportunity for operators to use that stack first for their own agentic operations, then serve enterprises that want to keep data and intellectual property under local control. Mavenir is pairing the platform with metering, charging, and billing so customers can sell AI services without needing to replace their existing BSS. These are strategic ambitions; the event did not establish that the broader NeoCloud offering is operating at scale.

Mavenir is positioning itself as an end-to-end supplier for satellite and non-terrestrial networks (NTN), offering RAN, packet core, IMS and network-management software to satellite operators and mobile operators. It said its packet core is carrying live satellite traffic and that it has six active commercial engagements, with more than 30 opportunities in its pipeline. Its near-term focus is moving 5G NR NTN from lab deployments toward commercial launches, while using AI to manage beams, handovers and network performance. We estimate that this market accounts for 10–15 percent of Mavenir’s revenue in its current fiscal year. The company has aggressive growth targets and a stated ambition to capture at least 30 percent of the satellite-operator customer base by 2030. Given its live traffic, active engagements and deep pipeline, Mavenir is well placed to grow its share as satellite operators move from trials to commercial service, though the target remains ambitious.
Thank you, Mavenir leadership, for a productive two days. It was great reconnecting with the team!
